History of Chris Rahe
I was born at a very early age back in 1968.
Later I went to a Lutheran school before transferring to public school in sixth grade. I played basketball, ran track and made good grades, but was still kind of a dork.
Finally developing a few social skills, in college at Butler University, I started getting comfortable being me.
My degree was in public and corporate communications, but my passions were stoked particularly by poetry professor, Fran Quinn who finally got concepts such as symbolism and allegory through my thick skull.
I also excelled in the philosophy classes I took as electives.
I learned a lot from my friends, peers and even my fraternity brothers.
But it took me another decade or so to "grow up" after graduation -- a process that is far from complete.
Though it's still hard to imagine myself as a "grown up" I am now married, with three adopted children and a job where I where a suit and tie.
I've also reluctantly become a farmer as my wife's passion for growing organically and raising organic, grass fed animals has drawn me in as well.
I had an unsuccessful campaign for Indiana State Representative in 2006, and I'm still interested in trying to ensure my children inherit a better state, country and world than they will if things continue on their current course.
